Site Details
This is the most popular of the Alki dive sites and an all-around great dive park. It is protected from major currents and has lots of life in shallow water. You can find a decent-sized boat called the Honey Bear about 35 ft, near the base of a bunch of pilings that are angled out of the bottom. Several other piles of boulders and pilings are scattered around this site. Harbor seals are well known and love to swim with divers here.
More experienced divers can venture to deeper depths to see the I-beams, telephone poles, and other sunken items, such as coal mine carts, and a bottle field where an octopus can be typically found.
Access & Parking
There is a 4-hour parking lot in front of the foot ferry with limited parking. Else, you can find parallel parking along Seacrest Park. Try to stay as close as possible to the parking lot area.
